What is 'The Alpha Era Project'?
« Thread Started on Jul 10, 2008, 6:22pm »

In a groundbreaking effort to bring a new dimension to the world of e-wrestling, myself and several other fedheads have agreed to enter our companies into a universally shared and accepted continuity, dubbed the "Alpha Era" project. This means that all of the promotions in the officially recognized lore, listed below, are in a constant state of co-existence, living and operating in the same "universe", competing and/or cooperating with each other to put on the best show possible week in and week out.

The world of the eXWF, eWo, LWA, and RXW is essentially identical to the one we're living in, with certain exceptions made to support the feasibility of their existence: The professional wrestling business is burgeoning, to a point where all of these companies are buttressed by a comfortable following and income. "Real" promotions like the WWE, TNA, ROH, NOAH, and so forth, are also recognized, though their influence is greatly reduced in this a more saturated market.

If you're having difficulty grasping the idea just compare it to comic books -- say, the Marvel Universe specifically. Iron Man, the Incredible Hulk, the X-Men, Spider Man; they're all separate franchises, all existing in one universe, having crossed paths multiple times throughout the officially recognized mythos. Reality has been altered to allow for the idea of mutants and superheroes.

That sort of vibrant, overlapping backstory is essentially what we're shooting for. Given time, and the input of talented handlers to provide the cast of characters, I think we can create something truly special and unprecedented in the e-wrestling community.
